Town of Bengough

The town is named after John Wilson Bengough who was a cartoonist.  Bengough first became incorporated as a village in 1911 and then later changed its status to Town in 1958.  Bengough is located approximately 150km south of Regina, 50 km north of Montana, U.S and 110 km from Weyburn.  Bengough’s logo is “Gateway to the Big Muddy”; the big muddy is a water course that was formed during the last glacial period by melted waters.  Bengough is situated along the CPR/CN railroad.
