Village of Creelman

In 1903 a meeting was held to decide on a name for the settlement.  Originally the town was called Hazel but when the Railroad came through it was changed to Creelman after an employee of the railroad.  The first business men were W C Carothers & S R Carothers.  On April 6, 1906 Creelman was officially established as a village.
