Agriculture
Weyburn and area has been given the title of being the largest inland grain handling centre in all of Canada because the city has three large terminals. The three terminals are the Weyburn Inland Terminal, The Sask Wheat Pool Terminal and The Pioneer Terminal. The Weyburn Inland Terminal will be historically known as Canada’s first farmer-owned grain terminal. The following table lists the most typical types of crops farmed in the SEREDA region.

A variety of spices are also grown locally for the production of spices and sauces for Paradise Foods International. Agriculture is very strong in this area; in 2005 over 1 million tons of agricultural commodities were produced in our crop district.
The livestock industry is also strong in this area. Producers are diverse in raising beef cattle, bison, sheep and goats. The area is also home to one of the largest dairy farms in Saskatchewan, feedlots, meat processors, and other agriculture related businesses.
