The town of Midale is located between Weyburn & Estevan on Highway 39 and only fifteen minutes from Mainprize Park.  This community was founded by Reverend Ole Sutherland, Olaf Wedin and Andrew Westman who were Americans that came up to Canada for homesteading.  The name “Midale” comes from the combination of two names; Dr. R.M. Mitchell and Ole Dale who were the first two settlers in this community.  The settlement began in 1903 and Midale was incorporated as a town in 1962.
