Town of Yellow Grass

The town was named after the yellow grass that surrounded the settlement.  On February 15, 1906 Yellow Grass was incorporated as a town.  Yellow Grass made history on July 5, 1937 by reaching the highest temperature ever recorded in Canada; the temperature rose to 45 C (113 F).
