The Youth Employment Program was introduced in 1998 to support two key components in Saskatchewan’s economic strategy:

  • Small business
  • Training, mentoring & employment for youth in the field of economic development

Requirements for the program are:

  • Must be either enrolled in or a recent graduate of a post-secondary Business or Economic Development related program
  • Under the age of 35

Since the introduction of the REDA Youth Employment Program, over 100 interns have completed internships with the 28 REDAs in the province.  This program aims to assist with the provinces REDAs to improve their business & economic development capability, provide business students and graduates with training & job experience and aims to retain youth in Saskatchewan.
